THE BLUES: Godfathers & Sons" Celebrates 10 Years
October 1st will mark the 10 year anniversary debut of the Scorsese Produced PBS seven film series "THE BLUES".

In June 2001 Eddy Clearwater's "Reservation Blues" club (formerly on Milwaukee near Damen & North Avenues) was featured in the filming of the Marc Levin directed film "Godfathers and Sons."

Pictured are Muddy Waters' original session musicians who played on "Electric Mud": Morris Jennings (Ramsey Lewis, Curtis Mayfield, Staple Singers...), Louis Satterfield (Earth, Wind & Fire, Emotions, Phil Collins...), Phil Upchurch (George Benson, Curtis Mayfield, Michael Jackson...) with Marshall Chess (Producer who also ran the Rolling Stones label), Common, Chuck D (Public Enemy) and Daddy Gene Barge (Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Bo Diddley...)

Artists' Web site:
Between his slashing left-handed guitar work, his room-filling vocals, his self-defined "rock-a-blues" style (a forceful mix of blues, rock, rockabilly, country and gospel), his boundless energy and even his signature Indian headdress, Clearwater is among the very finest practitioners of the West Side blues working today.
