BB came up on stage to play with us and he gazed at me and then asked me..... how do you play that left handed and upside down — That evening was one of the greatest moments of my life playing with my two mentors and guitar heroes. They both told me, just keep on practicing and remember to always be humble and give your all to the audience. A few I received were the Skokie Fine Arts Commission, Arts Excellence Award. So many of my neighbors and friends, even my drummer, Stephen Bass came out to see me get this wonderful award. Andrea Siegel the director asked me why I like Skokie. I said for 20 years I have made this my home with Renee. It is peaceful, joyful, beautiful and it has wonderful people of all backgrounds and races. It is a First Class City that I love to come home from after traveling around the world.
